Dear Jockeys and Juleps Family,
First, we pray you are well and remain that way.
Like so many other organizations and individuals in our community, St. Jude School has had to make the decision to cancel our spring event, Jockeys and Juleps, scheduled for May 2, 2020. As expected, our vendors are dealing with many other event planners hoping to reschedule in the future and being as supportive as possible during this time when they are literally losing money left and right.
Our planning committee had a phone conference this morning and looked at all available options to move forward. Dedicated parents and supporters have put much time and effort in to planning our event, providing sponsorships and donations and purchasing tables and tickets. Our students have worked throughout the year on beautiful class art projects. We wish to respect all of that.
After much consideration of what is in the best interest of our school family, Jockeys and Juleps has been rescheduled for May 1, 2021 at Stratton Hall. We are excited to announce that Impressions Catering has committed to moving with us, as has our incredible entertainment, The Young Hearts Band. We will transfer all sponsorships, donations and ticket purchases to this event. We will be reviewing all auction items, to secure deadline extensions as able.
It is our ultimate goal to come back together as a school family to celebrate who we really are, a group of families, faculty and staff dedicated to excellent Catholic education and to being united in faith and community. In that regard, we ask you to stay tuned for details about a fellowship event that we will be having at school in the fall. We remain a committed St. Jude family.
Thank you for your understanding and support. It is the wish of our entire school community to gather together again soon, to teach, learn, pray and play. In the meantime, stay safe and may God bless your family.
Sincerely,
Mary Jungels Kathleen M. Preston
