Why Siener Hall
From humble beginnings above a drug store in Red Bank and with the sacrifice and determination of young families came the founding of St. Jude School in 1960. The school’s cafeteria, “Siener Hall,” served as the parish church until the construction of the present church building was completed. Since that time it has been used as a gym, an auditorium and a cafeteria.
It has served as a site for newlyweds to celebrate and for grieving families to gather in memory of loved ones. It has hailed Eagle Scouts and welcomed line dancers. Siener Hall is a gathering place for many in our school, our parish and our community.
Last year we were able to replace flooring in the main hall. This year we hope to continue to update flooring throughout the building, renovate ceilings and sound boards, paint, etc. – all to improve aesthetics and more importantly to increase energy efficiency.
